RN - Wound Care

Wound Care RNThe Wound Care RN will provide specialized care for patients with various types of wounds. The nurse will treat 10-30 patients daily, depending on census levels. Common diagnoses include diabetic wounds, arterial wounds, necrotic wounds, venous wounds, and pressure injuries. The wound care team also addresses cases involving needling techniques and amputations. The position covers all aspects of patient care, including observation areas. Wound care RNs may float to clinics as needed, depending on their experience. Clinicians must adhere to a dress code that specifies black scrubs. Wound care teams consist of both RNs and LPNs, with a focus on using advanced wound care technologies. All staff must clock in and out at the facility for accurate attendance tracking. Weekend and holiday work will be required as needed. A unit-specific orientation period of approximately one week is mandatory.
