POWER BI developer

Overview: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deliver interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that drive business insights and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI , data modeling , DAX , and SQL , along with the ability to collaborate closely with business stakeholders and data teams to translate analytical requirements into effective BI solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports using data from multiple sources.
- Create data models , define relationships, and implement measures/calculations using DAX and Power Query (M language).
- Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into technical specifications and data visualizations.
- Optimize Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and usability .
- Work with SQL databases, data warehouses, and APIs to extract and transform data.
- Implement row-level security (RLS) and ensure data integrity and governance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams - business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders - to provide actionable insights.
- Support publishing, versioning, and scheduling of reports in the Power BI Service environment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and best practices.
- Stay updated with Power BI updates, new features, and industry best practices .
- 5-8 years of experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Power BI development .
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop , Power BI Service , and Power Query (M) .
- Proficiency in DAX for complex calculations and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of SQL and data modeling concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema).
- Experience integrating Power BI with Azure Data Services , SQL Server, or other cloud data platforms.
- Understanding of ETL concepts , data governance, and visualization best practices.
- Strong communication skills to interact with business and technical teams effectively.
- Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, or Databricks .
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with Power Apps , Power Automate , or Power Platform integration .
- Experience in finance, healthcare, or manufacturing domains.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field .
