Job Description & Requirements

Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit
Discipline: RN
Duration: 13 weeks
36 hours per week
Shift: 12 hours, days, nights
Employment Type: Local Contract

Requirements:

Education: Associates Degree or Higher
Experience: 1 year of PCU RN experience in the Inpatient Hospital Setting
Licensure: CO RN License
Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
Skill Set:
- Experience with Solid Organ Transplant
- Experience with Modalities of Higher Oxygen Delivery/Respiratory Support
- Knowledge of Chest Tube Management and Care
- Knowledge of Tracheostemy Management and Care
- Experience with NG/Dobhoff Placement and Management
- Experience in Management of DKA Patients Insulin Drips
- Identifying Decompensating Patients
- Management of Anti-Arrhythmatic Drips
- Strong Infection Prevention Knowledge
Typical Procedures:
- Wound/Drain Care
- Frequent Lab Draws from Central Lines
- Transfusing Blood Products
- Use of Two Point Soft Physical Restraints
- Use of NICOM
- CBI
- Plasmapheresis
- Heparin GTTs
- PCAs
- Epidurals
- Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Reading Tele Strips

- Bachelors Degree preferred - MediTech charting experience preferred - Travel experience preferred
