RN Clinical Coordinator- Specials Department

Gloucester, VirginiaOverviewWorks under the director supervision of the Imaging Director in collaboration with nursing service line leadership. Responsible for integration of the nursing process to include, coordination/management of patient care and the organizing, planning, directing, and evaluating of services provided with the Specials Department. Must have the ability to multitask, delegate and prioritize the needs of the department. Must have the ability to establish working relationships with the hospital providers, Nursing Leaders, and other members of the healthcare team throughout the organization. The Clinical Coordinator may be required to perform full patient care to support the needs of the unit.What you will doEvaluates clinical performance based on organizational standard, best practice, and regulatory requirements. Identifies opportunities for process improvement and takes action to integrate best-practices and improve quality of care.Evaluates service practices, identifies opportunities to improve patient experience and takes appropriate actions that result in increased satisfaction.Facilitates a collaborative work environment; takes action to build and develop a motivated team capable of meeting performance goals through on-boarding, orientation, initial qualification, and ongoing staff development.Assists with strategic planning, collaborates on goal setting and action planning, executes, and adjusts plans to meet or exceed goals, drives day-to-day integration of goals into operation.Monitors department productivity and efficiency, identifies areas of improvement, and recommends/implements actions plans.Demonstrates and responds in reporting policy, regulatory variances, audits, and follows through to resolution via the quality management system.QualificationsEducationBachelors Degree, Nursing (Preferred)Associates Degree, Professional Nursing (Required) orProgram Graduate, Nursing Diploma Program (Required) andHigh School Diploma or GED, Only Required if Nursing Diploma Graduate (Required)Experience2 years Staff Nurse Experience (Required)Charge Nurse Experience (Preferred)Licenses and CertificationsRegistered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) (Required)CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)ACLS Provider - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)To learn more about being a team member with Riverside Health System visit us at #J-18808-Ljbffr Riverside Walter Reed Hospital
