Location: 402 County Rd D West, Saint Paul, MN
Assignment Duration: 3 MONTHS
Shift: 2nd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM
10% shift diff would be added once candidate starts
Position Summary

The Organization is seeking a Lab Assistant I to support laboratory operations at its Saint Paul location. The ideal candidate will be technician-ready and comfortable working in a laboratory environment while following established procedures for specimen handling, processing, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily laboratory operations and specimen processing.
• Receive, identify, label, and prepare specimens according to established procedures.
• Perform specimen handling and processing accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records.
• Follow laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Use laboratory equipment and supplies appropriately.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory staff and other team members.
• Follow HIPAA, PPE, and infection-control requirements as applicable.
• Perform additional laboratory support duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to work Sunday-Thursday, 2:00 PM-10:30 PM .
• Ability to work onsite in Saint Paul, MN.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow laboratory procedures.
• Color vision is required.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous laboratory or specimen-processing experience.
• Previous experience as a Lab Assistant or laboratory technician .
• Experience with specimen handling and processing.
• Experience working in a clinical laboratory environment.
• Candidates who are technician-ready are preferred.

Compliance Requirements

• Hepatitis B vaccination is preferred; candidates may choose vaccination or sign a declination.
• Flu and COVID vaccination are not required .
• Negative THC screening is not required .
• Color vision is required.
