Global Trade Compliance Leader (US, Canada, Mexico)

Job Title: International Compliance Manager Location: Bellevue, WA. Direct hire Pay: $130K-150K

OVERVIEW:

This position manages and drives improvements for North America trade compliance operations across multiple business divisions. The successful candidate will lead a team of trade compliance professionals and external service providers focused on minimizing duty costs and trade risks while maximizing duty savings and refund opportunities. This role also supports the implementation and ongoing enhancement of SAP GTS trade compliance systems. Job Functions / Responsibilities Manage strategic risk assessment and audit functions to ensure compliance with applicable international trade regulations. Monitor trade actions and provide strategic insights, including impact analysis and forecasting. Lead the international compliance team, customs brokers, and service providers supporting U.S., Canada, and Mexico import/export compliance activities. Ensure business partners meet or exceed established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Oversee part classification processes to ensure accurate and timely classifications that prevent border delays and entry errors. Support SAP GTS implementation, training, maintenance, and process improvements. Manage post-entry activities including corrections, protests, reconciliations, and prior disclosures. Lead duty savings and refund programs, including USMCA, Free Trade Agreements, Duty Drawback, CBSA Annex 9963, and related initiatives. Identify and implement additional duty savings opportunities and trade compliance programs. Qualifications Licensed U.S. Customs Broker required. 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in Trade Compliance. Strong working knowledge of U.S. and Canadian customs laws and regulations. Ability to manage a fast-paced, customer service-oriented department. Experience leading teams and managing external service providers. Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed. Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, International Business, or related field required.
