Quality Inspector at New Bedford MA Contractor

Responsibilities Inspection details: Quantity: 10,000 units per size 2 clasp sizes AQL: 1.5 The client has identified issues with the clasp not retracting properly and would like the inspection to follow the protocol below: Sampling: Randomly selected cartons/boxes Inspection Method: Cycle each sampled clasp 50 times by fully opening the trigger and allowing it to retract Major Defects: Stuck open / does not retract within the 50-cycle count, clasp does not fully close, leaving any visible gap Minor Defects: Noticeable pause before retracting, spring feels sticky or does not glide smoothly. Technical Qualifications Minimum 2–3 years conducting Pre‑Shipment Inspections (PSI) on consumer goods Pre‑Shipment Inspection (PSI) experience with tools, hardware, and/or related manufacturing industry Familiar with AQL sampling Able to complete inspection reports within time deadline Experience with tools and hardware Strong hands‑on experience with visual, dimensional, and packaging inspections Proficient in professional inspection reporting (photos, findings, AQL results) Job Type 1099 Contractor Project Duration Current project: once a week, ongoing. Project duration may vary based on client needs. Shift Hours Current project: 1st shift 7 hours onsite + 1 hour report time. Shift schedules may vary depending on site availability.
