For us all good design is sustainable.The OpportunityProject Manager is a project leadership position with responsibility for quality of services, architectural design, technical production of projects, client management and financial management. Perkins Eastman, Costa Mesa Studio covers multiple practice areas including K-12 education and civic projects.We are seeking an individual with strong technical and communication skills working within the design team to create exemplary buildings, specifically public schools and government projects to suit clients' and users' needs.Primary ResponsibilitiesFunction as day-to-day point of contact with clients and governing agencies including the Division of the State Architect.Manage the overall quality of small and large projects through all design phases including client interaction, schedule and financial performance (both client budgets as well as internal budgets). Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential.Assist Principal-in-Charge with generating Design Services ProposalsUnderstand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout.Manage project teams, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones.Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing.Manage and/or generate details, both exterior and interior within a Revit contextLead in coordination with consultants and design teamCoordinate material identification and specificationsQuality control of the contract documentsLead all aspects of the Construction Administration phase including meetings, submittals and preparation of field sketches.Ability to work on multiple projects and manage project priorities.Required QualificationsBachelor's or master's degrees in architecture is required.Minimum 10 years' experience in managing public school projects.Must possess Division of the State Architect experience with the full life cycle of project review, approval and certification.Strong written and verbal communications skillsFamiliarity with Deltek Vision Software a plusProficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and AutoCADProficient in the use of Microsoft Office softwareCalifornia Architecture license is required.Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design.LEED Accreditation preferred.Additional QualificationsMust be able to interface with clients and maintain the relationship while managing the project.Must be able to put fee proposals together for projects.Must have experience managing the project budgetMust be able to contribute towards RFPs.Excellent communication skills are a must.Manage and assign staff on the project.Ability to develop business development and bring in clients is a plus.What We Offer YouRobust medical, dental and vision coverage401k OptionsPTOCompany Paid HolidaysLife InsurancePre-tax commuter benefitsProfessional DevelopmentCompetitive salaryPE has a hybrid policy that allows flexibility for our employees in managing their working days and hours to cater to their diverse needs.Salary Range: $105,000 - $124,000Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.Perkins Eastman is an affirmative action, equal opportunity employer and a participant in the U.S. Federal E-Verify program.
