Luther Lanard, PC  is a boutique law firm specializing in franchise law, looking for a Texas-licensed litigation attorney . We are experiencing tremendous growth and are looking for a remote or on-site full-time litigation attorney with at least 4 years of business litigation experience (experience in Franchise law is a plus), managing your own caseload and taking cases to trial. We provide structured training and mentorship to get you up to speed.

• You won't just be drafting documents in a vacuum. You'll interact directly with clients, understand their businesses, and deliver customized legal solutions that actually make sense for their situations.  

Autonomy with Support  

• You'll run your own matters, but you're not on an island. Our team is collaborative, and leadership is accessible when you need to strategize or get a second opinion. 

Reasonable Expectations  

• Target 1,750 billable hours annually (including 100 creditable non-billable hours), with plenty of room for growth and performance-based bonuses. You'll also receive origination credit for the business you bring in.

$150,000 - $180,000 yearly

• Lead and manage your own caseload from inception to resolution, ensuring each client receives personalized and effective legal representation.

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and develop tailored legal strategies that align with their goals.

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies, ensuring all actions are grounded in solid legal principles.

• Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties, striving for favorable outcomes while maintaining professional integrity.

• Prepare and present cases in court, showcasing your litigation skills and advocating passionately for clients' interests.

• Draft, review, and revise legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment that encourages learning and development for all members involved in the process.

• Experience in business litigation with a minimum of four years handling cases independently.
• Ability to draft and review legal documents, including demand letters, motions, and settlement agreements, with precision and clarity.
• Proven track record of managing client relationships and setting clear expectations throughout the litigation process.
• Strong negotiation skills to effectively confer with franchisors and opposing counsel, aiming for favorable resolutions.
• Capability to develop cases for trial and arbitration, demonstrating strategic thinking and thorough preparation.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas, with a preference for candidates with franchise law experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and persuasive advocacy in all interactions and documents.
