Experienced Dental Assistant – Full-Time or Part-Time 
Hillview Family Dental 

Hillview Family Dental is seeking a friendly, dependable, and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. We are a patient-focused dental practice looking for someone who is professional, organized, personable, and comfortable working in a busy dental office. 

Position: Dental Assistant 
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time 
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience 

Responsibilities 

• Assist the dentist during a variety of general dental procedures 
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment 
• Take and process dental X-rays as permitted 
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and treatment areas according to required standards 
• Follow all infection-control, OSHA, and safety protocols 
• Review and update patient medical and dental histories 
• Assist with charting and accurate documentation of patient treatment 
• Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions 
• Help patients feel comfortable and well cared for throughout their visit 
• Maintain treatment rooms and ensure supplies are properly stocked 
• Assist with impressions, models, lab cases, and other clinical duties as needed 
• Communicate effectively with the dentist, hygienists, front-office staff, patients, and outside dental laboratories 
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA requirements 
• Help maintain an organized, efficient, and positive clinical environment 

Qualifications 

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred 
• Completion of a Dental Assistant program or dental assisting certification preferred 
• Familiarity with common dental terminology, procedures, instruments, and dental office systems 
• Knowledge of sterilization, infection-control, OSHA, and HIPAA requirements 
• Dental X-ray experience 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work well as part of a team 
• Professional and compassionate approach to patient care
