Memory Design Engineer

You will discover a wide variety of groundbreaking foundries and deep submicron technologies while collaborating with our team on many different types of memories.This job is for a memory designer for developing and validating best in class memories for Arm CPUs, GPUs and SOCs. You get a chance to take part in designing memories on advanced process technology nodes from various foundry offerings.Responsibilities:In this role you will be working on the following areas:Understanding memory architectures and memory development flowsTransistor level full-custom design and collaboration with the physical design team for layout realizationDeveloping new features, and optimizing and improving Arm memories to meet Performance, Power and Area targets in advanced technology (3 nm and beyond)!Contribute in all parts of the memory development flow, starting at design specification, circuit design and perform design margining, physical verification, memory characterization, FE verification, release procedure, and QA flow for memory used in CPU, GPU and SoCs.Become comfortable with use of AI to develop scripts to improve execution efficiency and qualityEnsuring high-quality and high-performance memory designs with the lowest possible power as needed for Arm CPUs, GPUs, and SOCs!Required Skills and Experience :Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant technical fields with emphasis in VLSI design or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with relevant work experience2-5 years of circuit design experience (SRAM preferred)Demonstrate project experience in physical IP design (memories, standard cells, IOs, or PHYs)An understanding of basic memory principles, especially for SRAM.A good understanding of technology trade-offs in deep sub-micron technologiesExperience with Cadence Virtuoso or similar schematic and layout editing tools, and with Spice and FastSpice simulatorsYou love working in a collaborative settingYou enjoy innovation and continuous improvementYou appreciate methodology and efficiency improvements“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :Have designed on silicon technologies equal or smaller than 28nmHave some exposure to CMOS layoutStatistical simulations (e.g. Monte-Carlo)Familiar with basic coding with Perl, .tcl, java, UNIXFamiliarity with AI toolsAdditional InformationSalary Range:$130,100-$176,000 per yearWe value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
