HVAC Service Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Sacramento to maintain commercial mechanical systems throughout Northern California's capital region.

Impact

• Service HVAC systems for government buildings, hospitals, and commercial facilities

• Maintain critical building comfort during California's extreme temperature variations

• Support Sacramento area business operations through reliable mechanical service

• Contribute to energy efficiency initiatives across diverse commercial markets

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment and systems

• Diagnose and repair rooftop units, packaged systems, and split equipment

• Service air handling units and maintain proper airflow and filtration

• Replace worn components including motors, belts, and control devices

• Troubleshoot electrical controls and basic automation interfaces

• Document all service work and maintain accurate customer records

• Respond to emergency calls during peak heating and cooling seasons

• Coordinate with customers on maintenance schedules and system improvements

Requirements

*Must-Haves:*

• 3+ years commercial HVAC service experience

• EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling

• Basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities

• Valid California driver's license with clean record

• Physical capability to work in varying weather conditions

• Professional appearance and customer service skills

*Nice-to-Haves:*

• HVAC technical school completion or trade certification

• Experience with commercial air handling and ventilation systems

• OSHA 10 certification

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication
