Our client, an industry leader in felt manufacturing, is seeking a Manual Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be part of the production department supporting the manufacturing of high-quality felt products. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Lackawanna, NY

Pay Range: $21/hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

What's the Job?

• Must have MANUAL MACHINING experience
• Read blueprints and specifications to produce precise felt products using manual machine shop equipment
• Set up and maintain machinery to ensure optimal operation and safety
• Measure and inspect products to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards
• Perform basic maintenance on equipment to keep machinery running smoothly
• Collaborate with team members to produce a variety of felt products and support other production areas as needed

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Machinist, Tool & Die Maker, or similar role using manual machine shop equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent
