Maintaining, repairing and rebuilding various production machines and equipment. Responsible for the set up and use of tools and equipment before production use in order to ensure the optimum level of safety. Familiar with a variety of the production floor's concepts, practices and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.ResponsibilitiesPerforms scheduled preventive maintenance on all production machinery and facility related equipmentPerforms troubleshooting and evaluation of damaged machinery and equipment to determine appropriate repair method in the safest means possiblePopulates and closes out work orders with pertinent information related to the repair including materials used, root cause analysis, & total downtimeProvide safe general facility maintenance and repairProvide safe modifications and upgrades/rebuilds to production equipmentResponsible for reading, understanding and interpretation of blueprints, sketches and drawings and machine manualsActively participate in assigned safety related initiativesShop work - rebuilding pneumatic components and mechanical assembliesMaintain a clean and organized work areaOther duties as assigned by managementQualifications3 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentProficient with all hand and power toolsEffective communicatorMust be able to lift 50 lbsBasic computer skills with MS Excel, Word and Outlook EmailStrong Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, & Pneumatic skillsExperience with 3 phase and high voltage electrical systemsExperience working with AC and DC drivesExperience with chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and boilersCore Competencies: Customer Focus, Action Oriented, Decision Quality, Functional/Technical Skills, Integrity and Trust, Peer RelationshipsOther Competencies Required: Organization/Time ManagementPhysical RequirementsLifting; a minimum of 50 lbs.Carrying; a minimum of 50 lbs.Pulling; 2 hoursPushing; 3 hoursReaching above shouldersWalking; 8 hoursStanding; 8 hoursKneeling; 4 hoursBending; 6 hoursSquatting; 6 hoursClimbing;6 hoursVisual abilityHearing abilityUse hands and fingers to feel, handle, push/pull levers & buttons, and operate various tools
