Business Summary
A leading global aerospace manufacturing organization is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to join its finance team in Carson, California.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Finance graduate who wants to build a career in manufacturing finance. The Financial Analyst will work closely with finance and operational leadership while gaining hands-on experience in financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance required
- Recent graduate or up to 3 years of professional experience
- U.S. citizenship required
- Manufacturing experience through employment, internship, or related experience preferred
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Strong Excel skills
- Understanding of financial statements and basic accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, positive, and collaborative attitude
- Willingness to learn, be trained, and accept coaching and feedback
- Team-oriented with the ability to work effectively across finance and operations
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
- Curious and eager to develop new skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
- Ability to manage priorities and follow through on commitments
- Comfortable asking questions and learning from more experienced team members
- Desire to grow within the organization and take on increasing responsibility
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Analyze actual results against budgets and forecasts
- Prepare variance analysis and identify financial trends
- Support manufacturing cost and operational analysis
- Assist with financial models, reports, KPIs, and presentations
- Work with finance and operations teams to gather and analyze financial information
- Support month-end and quarter-end reporting activities
- Assist with special financial projects and process improvements
- Learn the organization's financial systems, processes, and manufacturing operations
