Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes through effective assessment, planning, and intervention. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care by collecting relevant health data and analyzing assessment findings.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at achieving optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care delivery among healthcare team members, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans as needed to meet changing needs.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care across settings.

Qualifications:

• Require current RN licensure in the practice state.
• Require BLS certification; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred.
• Require at least two years of recent emergency room nursing experience.
• Require EPIC electronic health record system experience.
• Require completion of Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or CPI training.
• Possess excellent critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
