This role creates a welcoming atmosphere, maintains a clean and organized bar, ensures responsible alcohol service, and contributes to an outstanding guest experience while supporting overall food and beverage operations.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service.Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable bar experience.Make beverage recommendations based on guest preferencesRespond promptly to guest requests and resolve concerns professionallyMaintain a high level of hospitality and service excellence at all timesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes, specifications, and presentation standardsDemonstrate knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and specialty beveragesVerify guest age and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws and regulationsAccurately ring in orders and process payments through the POS system.Monitor guest alcohol consumption and practice responsible beverage servicePrepare garnishes, mixers, and ingredients needed for daily operationsServe bar guests and support restaurant servers with beverage ordersMaintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the bar area, equipment, and service stationsRestock liquor, beer, wine, mixers, glassware, and supplies as neededConduct opening, closing, and side work duties according to established proceduresAssist with inventory counts and report low-stock items to management.Properly handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest checks.Ensure all bar equipment is functioning properly and report maintenance issuesFollow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelinesQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious bartending experience preferredKnowledge of cocktail preparation, wine, beer, and spiritsStrong customer service and interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentBasic math and cash-handling skillsExperience with POS systems preferredAlcohol service certification and food handler certification as required by local regulationsAbility to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to lift and carry up to 40 poundsFrequent reaching, bending, stooping, and repetitive hand movementsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to glassware, ice, and beverage equipmentWe provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibit discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
