IT Systems Engineer

DescriptionSAIC seeks an experienced and energetic IT Systems Engineer to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. Job Responsibilities:Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate requirements into hardware and software specification.Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements, facility requirements (including floor layout, power cooling, network connectivity), data storage, backup, monitoring, operations systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.QualificationsRequired Education, Experience, and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and five (5) years of IT systems engineering related or equivalent experience or Master’s degree in an engineering, mathematics, physics or equivalent technical discipline and three (3) years of IT systems engineering related or equivalent experienceClearance:Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret ClearanceJob Field: Information TechnologyTravel: Yes, 25 % of the Time
