The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a respected hospital in Las Vegas, NM and is looking for a dedicated Certified Pharmacy Technician to join the hospital pharmacy team and play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and compassionate care to patients when they need it most. This role is based in a hospital setting and may include rotating shifts, weekends, and holiday coverage as needed. Working under the direction of a licensed pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician will assist with medication preparation, distribution, and inventory management to support safe, accurate, and efficient patient care. • Assist pharmacists with preparing, packaging, and dispensing medications
• Support safe and timely medication delivery throughout the hospital (to nursing units and other departments as needed)
• Maintain accurate medication records, labeling, and storage procedures
• Help manage pharmacy inventory (including ordering and receiving), supplies, and medication restocking
• Compound sterile and non - sterile preparations following safety and compliance standards
• Support insurance processing and prior authorizations as directed by the Pharmacist
• Operate and maintain pharmacy automation systems and equipment efficiently
• Deliver exceptional customer service and support to patients, nurses, physicians, and healthcare staff. xywuqvp
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and state/federal regulations

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Pharmacy Technician training program preferred
• Current New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license (or eligibility to obtain)
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred
• Minimum one year of previous hospital or clinical pharmacy experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a busy healthcare setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmaceutical calculations, and medication names
• Candidates should be comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
