This role involves assisting healthcare providers in delivering exceptional care tailored to the needs of young patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients and families.Ensure smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by accurately completing and updating medical records. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in medical records. Confirm patient understanding of physician instructions upon discharge.Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and coordinating necessary referrals and admissions.Support minor surgical preparations and physical exams, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.Distribute educational materials and assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication usage.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm, 40 hours per week.
