Burrow Global is seeking an experience Plant Operations Training Coordinator for a client in Lake Charles, LA.

Are you passionate about developing people, improving chemical plant operations, and building strong safety cultures? We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Training Coordinator to play a key role in developing the next generation of Operations professionals within a petrochemical environment.

About the Role

In this highly visible role, you will serve as a trusted trainer, mentor, and operational resource, helping to strengthen workforce capability, improve operational performance, and preserve critical unit knowledge. You will work directly with Operations leadership and frontline unit operators to create engaging training programs, support continuous improvement initiatives, and drive safe, reliable operations—with a strong focus on safe practices around Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) operations.

This position is ideal for a hands-on chemical operations professional who enjoys coaching others, sharing technical expertise, and making a lasting impact on plant performance.

What You'll Do

Training & Workforce Development

• Lead onboarding and qualification programs for new Unit Operators .
• Develop and deliver engaging classroom, field, and hands-on training programs covering general unit knowledge and operating procedures.
• Serve as a mentor and coach, helping operators build technical knowledge and operational confidence.
• Create, update, and maintain training materials that support workforce development and operational readiness.

Safety Leadership & HF Operations

• Champion a strong safety culture through coaching, training, and employee engagement.
• Partner with Operations leadership to preserve best practices, safety protocols, and operational knowledge specifically tailored to Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) handling and unit operations.
• Coordinate and facilitate emergency response exercises and safety drills.
• Reinforce safe work practices and compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Operational Excellence

• Review and improve operating procedures to promote consistency, efficiency, and safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance unit operational performance.
• Help identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve execution within the operation.

Knowledge Management & Systems

• Capture and transfer critical historical and operational knowledge to current and future unit personnel.
• Utilize SAP to support workflow management, notification tracking, and operational documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and support efforts to reduce work backlog and improve process efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications

• Experience: Strong background in chemical, refining, or petrochemical plant operations (Unit Operator / Operational Leadership experience preferred).
• No Laboratory / Chemistry background required — focus is entirely on chemical unit operations and operator training, not lab testing.
• Specialized Focus: Prior experience or familiarity with Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) units is highly desirable.
• Software / Tech Skills: General computer literacy required; SAP experience is highly desirable.
• Training Passion: Demonstrated passion for training, mentoring, coaching, and developing procedures.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage personnel at all levels.
