Details Work setting is a large, short-term acute care academic teaching hospital with Level I Trauma designation and 1,266 staffed beds Position is in the Cath Lab unit, functioning as an RN Circulator in a high-volume, high-acuity diagnostic and interventional PCI environment Patient population includes diagnoses such as AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, aortic stenosis, V-Tach, endocarditis, A-fib, peripheral vascular disease, and sick sinus syndrome Patient ratio is 1:1 Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts on a rotating basis: 0700–1730 (standard), 0700–1730 (late), and 1000–2030 (close, as needed) Every other weekend is required Rotating on-call is required, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, subject to change based on unit needs Floating within the service line is required to meet facility needs Block scheduling is not available Charting is done in Epic; Epic experience is required Specialized equipment includes Impella and IABP Navy scrubs are required Requirements Active MO RN license or Compact RN license; must be valid and in hand at time of consideration (pending IL license may be acceptable — note at time of consideration) Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab RN experience required Interventional scrub experience required Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity Cath Lab environment required Level I Trauma facility experience required Epic EMR experience required Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Additional Information The RN Circulator will provide conscious sedation under attending physician direction, hand off sterile supplies, assess vitals, and document in Epic Cross-training to run hemodynamics in the monitor tech role is likely First-time travelers are welcome to apply RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation Travelers may remain at this health system for up to 18 months before a mandatory 3-month break is required Former permanent employees of the health system must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler Orientation completion modules are required prior to or at start Parking passes are available at a monthly cost through the facility's Public Safety department; travelers are responsible for parking costs American Traveler Job ID P-722247.
