Assistant Professor (CHS) Job Summary: The Department of Radiology offers a unique opportunity for a Breast Imaging and Interventional Radiologist to support the Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health. The UW Health Breast Center treats over 700 new breast cancer patients yearly and is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. Breast imaging radiologists work side by side with an excellent, collaborative team of breast surgeons in the Breast Center. Multidisciplinary tumor board and radiology-pathology correlation conferences occur weekly. A new state-of-the-art outpatient clinic with integrated breast imaging and breast clinical care is opened in the fall of 2024, expanding our multi-disciplinary practice. The breast imaging section in the UW Department of Radiology trains three to four breast imaging fellows and many residents on an annual basis.
Compensation: Negotiable, 12 month Employees in this position can expect to receive benefits such as generous vacation, holidays, and sick leave; competitive insurances and savings accounts; retirement benefits.

- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
- Applicants who are interested in pursuing an academic career in the Breast Imaging and Intervention section will be considered for the titles Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor on the Clinician Teacher (CT) or Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track. The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist.

Required Qualifications:
- WI medical license by start date of position.
- Board-certified or board eligible by American Board of Radiology (ABR) by start date of position.
- Fellowship training in Breast Imaging including mammography, ultrasound and breast MRI and image-guided breast biopsies is required by start date of position.
- CHS/ CT: For an appointment at Associate Professor or Professor rank on the CT or CHS track, candidates will meet criteria established by the department and as outlined in the School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to Associate or Professor on the CHS or CT track.
