Class A CDL Semi-Local Driver

Job Description

Join a dedicated CDL-A fleet that offers consistent freight, assigned trucks, and dependable year-round work. This semi-local position is ideal for drivers who enjoy staying active on the job while benefiting from a stable operation, predictable freight demand, and the support of a dedicated retail account.

Drivers on this account deliver pet products to retail store locations and pick up backhaul freight throughout the week. Freight is preloaded, but store deliveries require driver unload using both electric and manual pallet jacks. With dedicated freight, assigned equipment, and consistent miles, this position provides the stability and long-term career potential professional drivers are looking for.

Job Details

Semi-local dedicated account
Deliver pet products to retail store locations
Pick up backhaul freight from retail and non-retail locations
Preloaded outbound freight
Driver unload required at store locations
Backhaul freight is not driver unload
Consistent freight volumes throughout the year
Dedicated customer operation

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on driving position.

Driver unloads freight using electric and manual pallet jacks
Approximately 60% electric pallet jack use
Approximately 40% manual pallet jack use
Some pallets may weigh up to 3,500 pounds
Deliveries may utilize dry van or liftgate trailers
Ability to safely move heavy palletized freight at customer locations

Equipment

Assigned trucks
No slip seating
Dry van and liftgate trailers
Modern, well-maintained equipment
Trucks remain at the account during time off
No pets permitted

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of Class A CDL driving experience
Ability to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks
Ability to perform physical delivery duties
Strong safety record
Professional and dependable work ethic
Good customer service skills
