Duties Description Assist in analyzing and monitoring New York City fiscal and management performance. In this capacity, you would compile data for statistical and analytical reports; compile and assist in the analysis of statistical data pertaining to revenue and expenditure trends and their impact on New York City's fiscal operations; assist in the review of proposed legislation which may impact New York City's financial condition; draft and edit reports, informal briefings, correspondence, and other communications; summarize findings of research and analysis; and prepare detailed reports.

Additional Comments Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge, skills, and abilities: • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as PowerPoint and Microsoft Access, is desired.• Experience in data analysis, financial modeling, statistical or other data analysis techniques is desired.• Ability to learn and work successfully with financial data and concepts.• Ability to learn and develop a solid understanding of the municipal bond markets and public finance concepts is desired.• Ability to learn research and legal analysis skills is desired.• Some familiarity with New York State and local budgetary, fiscal, economic and policy issues.• A demonstrated attention to details, the ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, work in a team environment, and possession of strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, data management, interpersonal and communication skills.• Knowledge of public housing, subsidized childcare, capital budgets, debt service, and financial statements a plus.
