Project Development Engineer, Tesla Energy

As a Project Development Engineer, you will serve as a key technicalmemberofa pre-construction team. Your primary focus will be evaluating and implementing strategies forbattery energystorage, solar, and microgrid projectsutilizingTesla technology. You will manage the technical development of diverse project portfolios, oversee engineering activities to minimize risks, and handle a mix of large-scale utility projects alongside smaller, customized initiatives.

The Energy Projects team is a cross-functional group responsible for the engineering and execution of solar and storage projects. This includes development, design, analysis, project management, estimation, construction, and commissioning. Positioned centrally within business development, Tesla technology, and project deployment across the Americas, team members drive success across a wide range of applications.

• Own project development and execution for Tesla EPC projects, defining scope, responsibilities, andBOPspecificationswith Tesla products
• Deliver technical support for proposalsincludingcustom drawings, diagrams, layouts, specificationsreviews
• Identifyand communicatescope gaps, risks, and mitigationstrategies;drawing on engineering, construction, interconnection, andpermittingknowledge
• Assessprojectsites, advance interconnection studies, and pursue permitting as needed

• Degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent in experience
• 2+ years' experience in design&construction of powergeneration projects, emphasizingMV/HV substations(experience in utility-scale PV or battery storagepreferred)
• Expertisein electrical engineering, including power, controls, communications, fire protection,engineeringcalculations,CADdrafting&design,standardsand code compliance
• Skills in contracting:identifyingandnegotiating terms, developing scopes anddivision ofresponsibility docs
• Strong writtenandverbalcommunications, andabilitytoprovidetechnical guidance
• Experience in fast-paced organizations withabilityto prioritize multiple projectsortasks
