A solid understanding of the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children from birth to five years old, as well as up to 12 years old for weekend care, is essential.

Knowledge of state child care regulations is required. The position involves various physical activities including walking, standing, and lifting children and objects. Candidates must be able to stand for at least 30 minutes and communicate clearly and effectively, adapting their communication style to suit different age groups.
