IT Security Auditor

Job Summary:
The IT Security Auditor is responsible for evaluating and enhancing the security of applications within a hybrid enterprise environment. This role focuses on application security assessments, secure coding practices, vulnerability identification, and supporting secure delivery through collaboration with development teams. The auditor ensures compliance with security standards and strengthens security measures across web, mobile, and cloud applications. Responsibilities:
- Conduct application security assessments using SAST, DAST, SCA, ASOC, and related tools.
- Partner with software development teams to promote and implement secure coding practices.
- Review request/response headers, web traffic, and API security risks.
- Identify and assist in remediating OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
- Support DevSecOps initiatives, security automation, and continuous compliance efforts.
- Strengthen secure development practices across web, mobile, and cloud applications.
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience with at least 3 years in application security, secure development, or security auditing.
- Hands-on experience with SAST, DAST, SCA, ASOC, container, and cloud security tools.
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, API Security, JWT, OAuth, OIDC, and PKCE.
- Experience with technologies such as Angular, React, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, or .NET.
- Understanding of request/response headers and secure application development.
- Ability to pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check.
- Experience with Coverity, BlackDuck, SRM, and Fortify security tools.
- Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Background in DevSecOps, security automation, and distributed applications.
- Familiarity with SANS, CERT, CWE Top 25, Critical Security Controls, CSA, and SafeCode frameworks.
- Must be able to pass a CJIS background check.
- Wednesdays and Thursdays onsite attendance is mandatory.
- Availability for a virtual first-round interview and an in-person second-round interview is required.
- Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
- Hybrid work schedule with specific days onsite (Wednesdays and Thursdays).
