The Urbandale Clinic is seeking a 60% Staff Nurse in our Urbandale Infusion Suite. The Staff Nurse is charged with the responsibilities of assessing patients' nursing care needs, evaluating the effectiveness of care provided, integrating nursing theory and research into clinical practices, and ensuring patient care standards are met. This position also includes FREE on-site parking as well! Duties to include: Apply nursing theory to assess, diagnose, treat and evaluate patient responses. Develop patient care plan based on observations and assessments and recommend interventions to attain expected outcomes. Collaborate and integrate information from patient and family into multidisciplinary patient care plan and evaluate responses. Evaluate the quality of nursing care provided by other staff members. Responsible and accountable for the provision of care for patients. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality and serve as a patient advocate. Percent of Time: 60% (24hours per week) Schedule: Monday - Friday, Variable hours between 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, no weekends, no holidays, no on call time Availability to provide support to outreach clinics within a 2-hour radius required. Paid drive time. Location: Urbandale, IA Pay Grade: 52 - Salary $35,589- $65,283 at 60% (based on years of experience)

Qualifications

Education An Associate's Degree in Nursing, a Diploma in Nursing, a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BSN), Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN/Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required. Required Qualifications Current license to practice in the state of Iowa by the time of hire Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with patients/families, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members as demonstrated through written and verbal interactions. General computer skills are required. Current course completion card in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association Desired Qualifications Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or Masters Degree in Nursing is highly desired. If Baccalaureate degree in Nursing is not yet obtained, active enrollment in a BSN program is desirable. 1-3 years of general nursing experience. Proficiency with IV access and phlebotomy within adult and pediatric populations Experience with biologic infusions. Ambulatory nursing care experience, including telephone triage experience in the outpatient setting.
