Within this fast-paced pre/post interventional radiology department, you’ll care for a diverse inpatient and outpatient population spanning every stage of life. Nurses in this department collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver pre-procedural preparation, post-procedure recovery, and overnight observation care for patients crossing a spectrum of specialties, including those requiring diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, and more). Schedule/Hours:

• Travel position; schedule details provided upon assignment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre- and post-procedural care for interventional radiology patients
• Oversee 23-hour observation and manage care for overnight pre- or post-procedure patients
• Engage in care for a variety of diagnostic imaging cases (CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray, ultrasound)
• Function as an integral member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• 2 or more years of RN experience in Interventional Radiology (required)
• Telemetry experience (required)
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• Experience with GI post-procedural care a plus, but not mandatory
• New York state RN license (required)
• BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association (required)
• Excellent communication, flexibility, organization, and enthusiasm for teamwork
