Job Title: Collision Mechanic Job Description

As a Collision Mechanic, you will perform work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately with limited supervision. You will be responsible for collision repair, bodywork on trucks, and working extensively with fiberglass. Your duties will include panel replacements, painting truck parts and equipment, and some welding. You will also work with hand and power tools to fabricate products, and handle hydraulics and mechanic work.

• Perform collision repair and bodywork on trucks.
• Work extensively with fiberglass.
• Replace panels and paint truck parts and equipment.
• Conduct some welding tasks.
• Use hand and power tools for product fabrication.
• Handle hydraulic systems and mechanic work.

• 1 year of mechanic or installation experience on vehicles, specifically industrial trucks.
• Experience in repairing or replacing the body of trucks.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Proficiency with truck repair, autobody repair, and collision repair.
• Skill in using hand and power tools, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
• Experience with diesel repair, troubleshooting, welding, pneumatics, and reading blueprints.

• Forklift experience is required.
• Must own small hand tools and have a toolbox for use at the shop.

The work takes place in a large job shop with multiple buildings and garages. Each mechanic has their own bay. The environment can be loud at times and warm during the summer, but overhead doors can be opened for air flow.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
