Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Bemidji, Minnesota.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 09/28/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2522.20\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Med Surg\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday required\n • Days nurse-to-patient ratio: 4-5:1; Nights nurse-to-patient ratio: 5-6:1\n • Unit consists of 41 beds including 12 semi-private rooms and 29 private rooms\n • Unit sees medical, surgical, orthopedic, and occasional behavioral health patients\n • General nursing duties include assessment, care planning, patient education, medication administration, wound care, and communication with the interdisciplinary care team\n • Procedures include chest tube management, trach care, assisting with paracentesis or thoracentesis, and care of behavioral health patients with medical emergencies\n • Monitor telemetry patients, manage admits and discharges\n • Ward secretary and nursing aides available to assist as needed\n • Potential to float to Telemetry, Observation, Acute Rehab, or Post-Partum if not needed in Med Surg; travelers will be first to float per union contract\n • Equipment utilized includes Epic for charting, AccuDose medication system, EZ Stand, Hoyer Lift, Overbed Lift, SCDs, Glucometers, and Space Labs Vitals Machines\n • Scrub color: Navy Blue\n • Must badge in and out at the facility\n • Active Minnesota RN license required\n • Minimum 2 years of medical surgical experience required\n • EPIC experience required\n • Orthopedic patient experience highly preferred\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA)\n • BSN not required\n Facility:\n This acute care facility operates a well-equipped medical surgical unit that provides comprehensive care for medical, surgical, orthopedic, and behavioral health patients.
