In this role, you will provide specialized care to help students achieve their physical development goals and participate more fully in school activities. This position focuses on two students, allowing you to make a significant and direct impact.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
• Experience working in K-12 school settings strongly preferred
• Background in PT with pediatric or educational focus is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and other team members
• Ability to develop and monitor individualized therapy plans based on student needs
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and progress tracking

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to assigned students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ mobility, motor skills, and functional capabilities within the school setting
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to integrate therapy objectives into classroom routines
• Keep clear documentation of student progress and respond effectively to modifications in therapy plans as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions regarding student care
• Offer recommendations for equipment, adaptive devices, or classroom modifications
