Exercise Physiologist

Your future role at a glance Location: Pensacola, FL Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola Department: Cardiac Rehabilitation Schedule: Day | Part-Time How you'll make an impact in this role Perform pre- and post-rehabilitation testing to evaluate patient capacity, then design and instruct customized exercise therapy based on test data, health status, and medication regimens. Continuously monitor patient responses during exercise, promptly recognizing abnormal reactions or contraindications to cease exercise and initiate medical referrals when necessary. Provide evidence-based physical activity education and guidance to patients, clinical peers, and the community through instruction and public educational sessions Maintain and calibrate department equipment, manage patient records and scheduling, and provide operational oversight for department activities in the manager's absence. What minimum qualifications you'll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Exercise Physiologist credentialed from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) preferred. Education: Bachelors degree required. Masters degree preferred.
