Job Description:

As a Dedicated Flex Truck Driver, you'll enjoy the benefits of consistent customers with the added variety of working with multiple dedicated accounts. This role allows you to drive for different customers while ensuring steady, reliable work each week. You'll also receive a guaranteed minimum pay of $1,300 per week, with opportunities to earn more based on your routes and performance.

Competitive Pay:

• Guaranteed minimum: $1,300 per week if you're available to work the full week
• Average $75,000 - $85,000 per year
• Starting pay: $32.50 per hour for local assignments; $0.62 cpm for over-the-road assignments
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Additional Earnings:

• Stop pay: $20 per stop (number of stops varies based on assignment)
• Pay for stops and loading/unloading (not all accounts)
• Detention, breakdown, and layover pay when applicable

Work Schedule:

• Steady weekly schedule with a variety of routes depending on the account you're working on
• Miles will fluctuate depending on which account you are working on
• Shifts and hours vary depending on assignment. Some assignments may be hourly, home-daily work, while others may be OTR positions that pay by miles and stops
• Driver will be assigned to various dedicated accounts in Texas and Oklahoma
• Driver may also be assigned to yard switcher assignments
• There may be times when driver is assigned to the local service center
• Majority of assignments allow you to be home for most of the weekend

Job Requirements:

• Class A CDL required
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, along with a valid passport, are required. Candidates can apply for a passport within 30 days of hire but must obtain it within 120 days.
• Must apply for Doubles endorsement and TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) within 30 days of hire and must obtain Doubles endorsement and TWIC within 90 days of hire- will be reimbursed upon receipt
• TSA certification required for airport deliveries
• Must be willing to perform yard switching duties in a yard tractor
• Adaptability: Must be comfortable working with different types of freight and customers
• Flexibility: Occasionally assist with other Averitt operations to keep you on the road and working

• Must live within a 75-mile radius
• Must have 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the past 3 years
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Drivers must have Class A CDL

• No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years
• No preventable DOT recordable accidents within the past 3 years

Essential functions:

• Load freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Unload freight - lift requirement: 80 lbs
• Move freight - force requirement: 54 lbs
• Open/Close Trailer Doors - force requirement: 46 lbs
• Count freight
• Complete fuel tickets
• Obtain sales leads
• Hook/Unhook trailer - force requirement: 90 lbs (Class A Only)
• Perform pre-trip inspections
• Drive
• Regular predictable attendance
• Enter/Exit a Commercial Motor Vehicle
• Enter/Exit the rear of a trailer from ground level
