Graduate Assistant - Softball

The Department of Athletics Graduate Assistant position(s) shall support the student-athlete experience by executing duties directly related to the success, engagement, and retention of JV student-athletes through academic and personal mentorship and individual athletic and technical development. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serve as a direct contact for the JV program in the appropriate sport, including, but not limited to the following: Execute team practices and establish goals for individual and team development; Plan and execute competitive team and individual strategy during the appropriate season schedule; Coordinate team travel, in cooperation with the Head Coach, including operating vehicles to and from away contests; Monitor Study Tables participation and coordinate student‑athlete academic success initiatives; Serve as an accessible resource and point of contact for JV student‑athletes in the program. Support the recruitment and enrollment goals of the sport program and Department of Athletics; Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech; Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required Valid Operator’s License and a good driving record required Have current First Aid/CPR training; or the ability to obtain such before employment Experience Prior participation experience with a college sports program (ex. playing, managing, supporting) Working Conditions Nights and weekends required Travel for competitions and recruiting required A resume is required in the application process. #J-18808-Ljbffr
