Title: Maintenance Technician, 1st Shift Req ID: 7927 City, State: Irving, TX Classification: Nonexempt Recruiter: Amanda L Oliver Position: Maintenance Mechanic II(C) Compensation: Hourly, Non‑exempt Reports to: Maintenance Manager Employment Type: Full‑time Job Summary Maintenance Technician responsible for the correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery, troubleshooting, engine maintenance, conveyor and system upkeep, and overall shop maintenance on the 1st Shift. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operate and maintain equipment and machinery safely. Troubleshoot, repair, and perform routine maintenance on engines, conveyors, and related systems. Ensure compliance with safety rules, USDA, HACCP, and company regulations. Interpret shop drawings, shop mathematics, and use applicable tools. Perform intermediate electrical wiring, diagram interpretation, and troubleshooting. Perform welding duties or learn to weld as required. Operate hydraulic circuits and components. Operate pneumatic full systems. Setup, repair, and tear down automatic equipment. Operate PLC systems. Communicate concerns to management regarding production, safety, and employee relations. Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands. Qualifications Display a positive attitude and teamwork skills. Successful completion of a pre‑employment physical, drug test, and background check is required. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day, frequently bend, lift, and twist. Must be able and available for overtime and weekends. Ability to lift 50‑70 lbs continuously/daily if needed. Good written and oral communication skills. Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
