This position is responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the wellness center, ensuring a safe environment for members and providing excellent customer service. As a Wellness Center Team Member, you will provide support to our members at both the Binghamton and Johnson City locations.Job duties include:Great members upon arrival and provide a friendly and welcoming atmosphereEngage, motivate and inspire our members to achieve their fitness goalsProvide guidance and support to members during workouts, ensuring proper form and techniqueProvide fitness equipment instruction to membersEnforce wellness center policies and procedures to ensure a safe environmentOpportunities for teaching group exercise classes on land or in the poolAvailable shifts:Monday 1pm-5pmThursday 9:00am-1:00pmSaturday 12:00pm-4:00pmSalary:$17.00 per hourBenefits:Free YMCA Membership at both branchesPaid sick timeEmployee Assistance ProgramMy Better Benefits Employee Discount ProgramRequirements:Previous experience in a wellness or fitness center preferredExcellent communication skills and ability to connect with our membersStrong knowledge of fitness principles, techniques and equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMaintain a clean and safe work environment
