Job Summary:
A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in San Jose, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric-related procedures. The position is scheduled for night shifts and requires a dedicated team player to support the units operations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: A minimum of 4 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing, current BLS certification, California RN license, and ability to work night shifts.
• Unit Information:
  • Location: 2nd Floor, General Area
  • Number of Beds: 10
  • Staff: Approximately 120 personnel including charge nurses, unit clerks, scrub techs, and RNs
  • Typical Procedures: Deliveries, cesarean sections, other obstetric and L&D related cases
  • Equipment: Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (Meditech/CPN)
  • Staffing Profile: Staffing includes RN, CNA, sitters based on patient census with rotating weekends and on-call duties.
• Additional Information:
  • Dress Code: Scrub color and attire according to unit policies
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Shift Information: Same as above.
  • Position Count: 2 openings available.
