Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice in a caring and compassionate manner.
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and/or treatments; accurately document care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Conduct holistic ongoing patient assessments, evaluate discharge planning for appropriateness, and educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information.
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team while delegating appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel.
• May float in rotation, function as a sitter as needed, and take call as required.

• Active Washington State RN license or Compact RN licensure required.
• Active BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required.
• Minimum of 3 years of travel nursing experience in Labor & Delivery and couplet care/postpartum/mother-baby.
• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain current knowledge of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures in Labor & Delivery.
• Experience participating in performance evaluation and improvement processes in a clinical setting.
• Comfort working in a float or call capacity within a hospital environment.
