Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

$2523.15/week - Job Summary: The Cardiac Stepdown RN is responsible for providing specialized care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures or experiencing cardiac-related health issues. The role requires delivering evidence-based nursing interventions in a high-acuity setting to promote patient recovery and safety. Responsibilities: Assess patients' condition through comprehensive clinical evaluations. Implement and monitor individual care plans based on physician orders and best practices. Administer medications and treatments while adhering to safety protocols and certification standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure timely communication. Document patient responses and care activities accurately in electronic health records. Educate patients and their families on cardiac health, medication management, and post-discharge care. Qualifications: Valid CA RN license actively uploaded in Nursys within the last 2 weeks. Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac/Tele experience in a hospital setting. Current AHA or ARC certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIH. Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record systems. Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled, with night shift availability. Demonstrated excellent clinical judgment and patient advocacy skills.
