The Training Manager serves as a key instructional leader within STIHL's Commercial Learning and Development team, responsible for delivering impactful training experiences that sharpen our teams' capabilities and deepen their connection to the STIHL brand. This role focuses on live instruction, coaching, and facilitation across STIHL's sales channels and product categories — ensuring that commercial employees, dealers, and partners gain not just product knowledge, but also the skills to represent our legacy of innovation and quality.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacilitate in-person and virtual training sessions for STIHL commercial teams, dealers, and channel partnersDeliver engaging, brand-aligned instruction on product knowledge, sales strategies, and customer engagementPartner with instructional designers to enhance existing training programs based on real-time learner feedbackCoach field reps and trainers to elevate facilitation techniques and improve learning outcomesAssess learner performance and gather qualitative feedback to identify improvement opportunitiesRepresent STIHL values and culture in every learning interaction — modeling professionalism, integrity, and a passion for craftsmanshipAll other duties and responsibilities as assignedSpecificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Communication, Business, or related fieldProfessional training certifications (e.g., ATD Master Trainer, CPTM) strongly preferred5+ years in a training, facilitation, or coaching role in commercial, retail, or technical industriesExperience training on products or systems with hands-on componentsFamiliarity with STIHL's product categories or dealer networksProven success in delivering high-impact instruction to adult learnersUp to 25% travel by airStrong facilitation and public speaking skills for technical and commercial audiencesFamiliarity with LMS platforms and classroom technologiesAbility to adapt instructional techniques to suit diverse learner needsBasic proficiency with training software (PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)Highly relational, strong interpersonal and coaching abilitiesConfident, energetic presence
