Plant Metallurgist

Are you a passionate metallurgist with a knack for problem-solving and a desire to lead? Our Lebanon Plant is searching for a dedicated Plant Metallurgist to join our team and bring their expertise to our diverse range of products. This role is essential in ensuring the highest quality of materials and products, and it offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of metallurgical advancements.
What You'll Do:

• Quality Management: Spearhead certification reviews for processes such as steel, forging, and heat treatment. Tackle metallurgical quality issues head-on and oversee the in-plant metallurgical laboratory. You'll ensure the seamless operation of our Material Certification Database and take charge of incoming inspection results.
• Technical Consulting: Act as the go-to expert for customer and plant processing challenges. Analyze complex issues and devise optimal solutions using advanced metallurgical test equipment, like mechanical testing and SEM.
• Project Leadership: Lead technical projects in heat treatment, forging, casting, and material development. You'll conduct internal audits and support product quality efforts, all while providing technical direction for process improvements.
• Training and Development: Mentor and train metallurgical associates and plant personnel to meet the highest quality standards and certifications.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Materials or Metallurgical Engineering.
• Experience in bearing heat treatment processing and industrial production environments.
• Strong project management skills and a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary projects.
• Background in bearing failure analysis is highly desirable.
