Phlebotomist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for its Fairbanks, Alaska location to perform blood collections, process specimens, and provide patient services. The role involves venipuncture and capillary techniques across all age groups, with a standard Monday–Friday schedule plus occasional Saturday shifts.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen information logs accurately
- Prepare collected specimens for testing and process billing information
- Provide customer service and perform administrative duties; travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed accredited training program
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Exceptional customer service and strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts as needed
