Travel GI/Endoscopy

American Traveler is hiring a GI/Endoscopy Technician for a Days position requiring 1-2 years of GI tech experience and Epic EMR charting.

Job Details

• Works in an 8-room Endoscopy/GI unit with holding and recovery rooms,
• Unit performs MAC and conscious sedation procedures,
• Monday through Friday schedule, 7:15a-3:45p with a rotating 8a-4:30p day,
• Department operates 6:30am-5:30pm, so rotating shifts may be required,
• On-call coverage required for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays,
• Clinician to patient ratio of 1:1 in procedure rooms and 1:2/3 in PACU,
• Serves all patient populations with a census of 60-70 procedures per day,
• 18 PACU bays and 8 procedural rooms,
• No floating required,
• Uses Epic for charting,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of GI/Endoscopy tech experience,
• Experience with Olympus scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing,
• Current BLS certification (AHA preferred),
• SGNA or CBSPD certification preferred,
• License required if applicable,
• Active MA license required at time of consideration, pending licenses not accepted,
• Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions,

Additional Information

• Perform scope set-up, handling, and reprocessing duties,
• Support procedural team during MAC and conscious sedation cases,
• Assist with patient holding and recovery,
• Local candidates considered, with a 60-mile radius rule from Boston applying for standard travel rate eligibility,
• Time is tracked via UKG/Kronos
