Clayton Services is searching for an Industrial Sales Representative to join a thriving company in Houston, Texas. The Industrial Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business, growing existing customer relationships, and managing the full sales process for industrial and commercial boiler service, maintenance, repair, and project work.

Industrial Sales Representative Responsibilities:

• Develop new business throughout Houston and the South Texas market through consistent prospecting, relationship building, and field sales activity.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through site visits, proposals, follow-up, negotiation, and closing.
• Target industrial and commercial customers including manufacturing facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, hospitals, universities, food and beverage facilities, and other large facilities.
• Grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities for inspections, repairs, maintenance agreements, equipment upgrades, outage projects, temporary equipment rentals, and other services.
• Conduct customer site visits and job walks to understand equipment, operating conditions, and project requirements.
• Develop scopes of work and prepare pricing and proposals in coordination with technical and operations teams.
• Build strong relationships with plant managers, maintenance and reliability professionals, facility directors, purchasing teams, and other key decision-makers.
• Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and customers to move opportunities through the sales pipeline.
• Coordinate with operations and technical teams to ensure sold projects are properly scoped and transitioned for execution.
• Follow up after completed projects to maintain customer relationships and identify additional sales opportunities.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reporting on proposals, opportunities, wins, losses, and forecasts.
• Operate with a highly entrepreneurial, results-driven sales mentality where compensation is directly tied to individual performance.

Industrial Sales Representative Skills and Abilities:

• Comfortable prospecting, cold calling, networking, visiting customer sites, and developing relationships from the ground up.
• Strong consultative and technical sales abilities.

• Ability to independently manage a large territory and sales pipeline.
• Comfortable working in industrial facilities and mechanical environments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM/quoting systems.
• Ability to travel throughout South Texas with occasional overnight travel.

Industrial Sales Representative Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in industrial services, mechanical contracting, boilers, burners, HVAC, or a closely related industry required.
• Proven track record of developing new accounts and generating revenue.
• Working knowledge of commercial or industrial boiler systems highly preferred.
• Experience selling to manufacturing plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, institutional facilities, or similar customers preferred.
• Previous experience selling planned maintenance agreements, service work, equipment rentals, or industrial projects is a plus.
• Existing relationships with industrial customers throughout Houston and South Texas are highly preferred.
• Previous hands-on experience as a boiler technician, combustion technician, service manager, or similar technical professional who transitioned into sales is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet customer site requirements required.
