Tax Associate Attorney Mid-Level

Job Overview A law firm seeks a mid-level Tax Associate Attorney in San Diego, California. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other strategic transactions, with a focus on federal transactional tax practice. Duties Manage components of domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings. Handle private equity and hedge fund taxation matters. Advise on real estate and REIT taxation. Engage in complex capital markets transactions, including structured notes. Work on bankruptcy and workout transactions. Participate in structured finance and securitization projects. Support lending and project finance initiatives. Assist start-up and early-stage companies with tax-related issues. Requirements 3-5 years of relevant experience in a broad-based federal transactional tax practice. Strong analytical, drafting, and communication skills. Active member of the New York Bar or California Bar. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications Bar admission in New York or California. Skills Proficiency in managing transaction components independently. Excellent analytical and drafting abilities. Strong communication skills.
