The Daycare Teacher plays a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. Working within a small team of 1-3 teachers, they are responsible for planning and delivering developmentally appropriate lessons, supervising children, and fostering positive behavior. Reporting to the Center Director and Program Coordinator, this role occasionally involves local travel and the use of specialized early childhood education software to enhance learning and communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times
• Plan and implement engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to developmental stages
• Coordinate daily classroom activities to promote learning and social development
• Manage behavior and apply conflict resolution strategies effectively
• Monitor children's health and safety, maintaining a clean and organized classroom environment
• Conduct regular developmental assessments to track progress and inform instruction
• Collaborate with team members and communicate with parents and coordinators

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in early childhood education
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong knowledge of child development principles
• Proficiency in lesson planning and classroom management
• Excellent communication and observation skills
• Empathy and teamwork abilities
• Effective time management and conflict resolution skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
