Sterile Processing Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• Clean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment.

• Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols.

• Prepare and distribute sterile instrument trays and supplies to clinical departments.

• Inspect instruments for functionality and report damaged equipment.

• Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.

• Monitor sterilization processes to ensure quality and compliance.

• Store sterile supplies properly to maintain sterility and inventory levels.

• Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to ensure equipment availability.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient sterile processing department.

**Minimum Qualifications **

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedVA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of 1 year/sof recent experience as aSterile Processing Technician.

• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
