Full Time Aitkin, MN, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1135 Salary Range: $19.07 To $22.17 Hourly About the Position: The Patient Access Clerk is responsible for verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information, collecting necessary documentation, and scheduling patient appointments. This role ensures a smooth and efficient scheduling process while delivering excellent customer service to patients and providers. The patient access clerk plays a critical role in patient access, ensuring timely scheduling, verifying insurance eligibility, and providing necessary instructions to patients. What we are looking for: Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in patient registration, scheduling, or a healthcare setting preferred. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
